Social Programme

The Social Programme of IP’22 will include the following events:

Reception on Tuesday, September 13

• Venue: City Hall of Ghent
• Participation in the welcome reception is free of charge, but subject to prior registration (via My Registration)

Symposium Banquet on Wednesday, September 14

• Venue: Monasterium PoortAckere
• The history of this intimate monasterium dates back to 1278. Today the centuries-old hidden cloister reveals its secrets. The atmosphere is charming, in keeping with the simplicity of this neo-Gothic building. The perfect venue to share a special moment as the Symposium Banquet.

• The participation to the Banquet is free of charge, but subject to prior registration (via My Registration)

Excursions on Friday, September 16

• Optional excursion  take place the whole day of September 16 ( from 10:30 to 16:00 in Ghent ). Excursion  is free of charge, but subject to prior registration (via My Registration). Further information on the proposed excursions is available below. 

 EXCURSION : ‘Ghent Discovery Tour”

Discover the City of Ghent, the Flemish Architecture, the impressive gothic sites with a boat & walking tour combined and not forgetting the tasting of local beers and chocolate.

•  Guided city walk including 2 tastings: chocolate tasting + cuberdon tasting 
•  End of the city walk Guided boat trip in the historical centre of 90 minutes including 1 glass of local beer and 4 mini-sandwiches per person
•  End of the boat tour near brewery Gruut
•  Brewery visit (seated) with explanations on the brewery process and 3 Gruut-beer-tastings. 
•  End of the program
